Tom Miller
Tom Miller, President and CEO
For over 20 years, Tom has worked with clients in the areas of group health and welfare insurance benefits. After starting his business career with John Hancock Financial Services and Prudential Financial Services, Tom joined Financial Concepts in 1989. Tom’s concentration is on the design and implementation of group benefit plan packages. He is a strong advocate for effectiveness in the benefit selection process – from customized tailored plan design to effective employee communication, all resulting in appropriate products which our clients appreciate.

Tom’s experience allows him to positively build a solid foundation with clients by first understanding their interests, requirements and goals in healthcare. He carries the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation, and is a Life & Qualifying member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). In addition, Tom holds several FINRA securities license and is a Registered Representative of NFP Securities, Inc. and an Investment Advisor Representative of Financial Concepts. He is a member of the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.

Tom received a BA in Management from Augsburg College, and has attended numerous continuing professional education programs providing him with the valuable tools to design innovative solutions for each of his clients.

Tom conducts benefit industry educational seminars to Certified Public Accountants and attorneys through the Minnesota Institute of Legal Educators. Since 2004, he has been a guest speaker at the Minnesota Rural Electric Association (MREA) Coop conferences to discuss medical plans and consumer driven healthcare options and has been featured in articles posted in the Twin Cities Business Monthly magazine. Tom was also deemed a 2008 TwinWest Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist.

Contributing to community well-being is a cornerstone of Financial Concepts’ culture. Tom is an active supporter of youth hockey and baseball. As a youth coach, he demonstrates leadership, communication skills, encouragement and confidence to his teams.
